Important Policies

What to Bring

Bring 7-10 days of comfortable clothing in one suitcase and one carry-on bag. Also bring personal hygiene items, prescription medications in original containers, a photo ID, and your insurance card. Leave valuables at home. We have a donation closet on site if you need additional items.

Phone & Device Policy

During medical detox, phones are securely stored for your entire stay (blackout period for safety and focus on recovery). This allows you to fully focus on the detox process without distractions. Your treatment team can facilitate emergency communication with family when needed. No recording (audio, photo, or video) is allowed at any time.

Visitation

Visitation during detox is limited and by appointment only. This policy ensures a calm, medically focused environment while you stabilize. Your treatment team will coordinate family updates and schedule visits when clinically appropriate. We also offer family therapy sessions to support your loved ones throughout your recovery.

Your Room

All rooms are double occupancy. Single rooms may be available based on census, but are not guaranteed. Each room includes an alarm clock and white noise machines are available upon request. Rooms are designed for rest and recovery during the detox process.

Transportation & Travel

The nearest airport is Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, approximately 45 minutes from our facility. We can help coordinate transportation on a case-by-case basis depending on driver and vehicle availability. Contact our admissions team to arrange travel.

Other Details

Smoking and vaping are allowed in designated outdoor areas only during scheduled breaks. By federal law, clients under 21 cannot use tobacco products. Coffee is available throughout the day. We provide dietitian-approved meals with accommodations for medically necessary and religious diets.

Questions About Getting Started?

Common questions from people considering detox treatment.

How long does the admission process take?

The admission process can be completed in as little as a few hours. Many clients call in the morning and are admitted the same day. We understand that when you're ready to get help, you want to start right away.

What happens when I call?

You'll speak with a compassionate admissions counselor who will listen to your situation, answer your questions, and explain your options. There's no pressure or obligation—just confidential support from people who understand what you're going through.

What should I bring to detox?

We recommend bringing comfortable clothing for 7-10 days, personal hygiene items, any prescription medications (in original containers), and a photo ID. Electronics are not permitted to maintain a healing environment. We'll provide a complete packing list after your initial call.

Will I have access to a phone?

Yes, but to help you focus fully on your recovery, phones are securely stored during your stay. This distraction-free environment allows you to concentrate on healing. Our staff will keep your loved ones updated on your progress, and you can reconnect with family and friends after completing the program.

What if I'm currently taking medications?

Bring all prescription medications in their original containers. Our medical team will review your medications and ensure continuity of care. If you're on medication-assisted treatment, we can coordinate with your current provider.

Can my family visit during detox?

To maintain a focused healing environment, visiting during detox is limited. Our staff will keep your family updated on your progress. After completing detox, you can reconnect with loved ones as you transition to your next step in recovery.

What happens if I've tried treatment before?

Many people need more than one attempt at recovery—that's completely normal. Our team will review what worked and what didn't in previous treatment to create a more effective detox plan this time.

Is the admission process confidential?

Absolutely. All calls and information are kept strictly confidential under federal HIPAA regulations. We will never contact your employer or share information without your written consent.

What if I don't have insurance?

We accept AHCCCS (Arizona Medicaid) and offer self-pay options with payment plans. Our admissions team can discuss all available options during your first call. Cost should never prevent you from getting help.

Can I tour the facility before committing?

Absolutely. We encourage prospective patients and families to visit our facility. Contact our admissions team to schedule a tour and meet our staff. This can help you feel more comfortable about the treatment environment.
